Implants

Dental implants are replacement tooth roots made of titanium. The implants fuse with your jawbone to create a stable foundation for your new teeth, making it easy to speak, eat, drink and smile with comfort and confidence. Implants are the perfect solution if you have one or several missing teeth, or if you want to replace one tooth with an implant-supported dental bridge. The result is beautiful, long-lasting results that will change your life!

Many tooth loss patients are hesitant to get dental implants because of their feelings about the unknown or their concern for pain. At Healthy Smiles Dentistry of Sierra Vista, we have a compassionate team that will guide you through the whole process, making your dental implants experience an exciting one. Our expert dentist have several years of training in implant dentistry, and they work with top clinicians to ensure that all aspects of the implant process are timely and successful.

Around 60 percent of people with tooth loss have a natural smile again within about six to 12 months, thanks to implant-supported dental bridges.

The procedure is relatively straightforward and standard in length, but also highly effective. Implant-supported fixed dental prosthesis is a bridge in which a replacement tooth or teeth are permanently joined to a dental implant(s) used as the anchorage for the replacement tooth or teeth.

The dental implant can be inserted inside the jawbone and will then integrate and grow. When the dentist has strengthened and shaped the natural-looking replacement tooth, it will be placed into position and fixed into place using the dental implant.

What to Expect

Dental implants are small titanium rods, which can be used to attach a new tooth onto your jawbone. They look and feel just like normal teeth, and will never need to be removed.

Of course, your dentist will be there throughout both procedures to make sure every step goes smoothly. They’ll discuss the process with you before it begins, and they’ll take care of everything. Implants can last for many years, and are usually more successful than dentures at maintaining the feel of your real teeth.

After your implants have been placed and have healed for several weeks, your dentist will place a new crown or an arch to cover the implants. After the placement of these permanent prostheses, you will be able to enjoy whatever foods you like without difficulty.
